Issue
- One of the following notifications appears on your desktop:
- "Encrypted network traffic: Untrusted certificate" (An application on this computer is trying to communicate over a channel encrypted with an untrusted certificate)
- "Website certificate revoked"
- "Untrusted network certificate"
Solution
ESET products provide alerts about potential security issues due to expired web certificates.
This is not an ESET issue and they have no control in the resolution of this matter. ESET is simply notifying you that the certificate is no longer valid.
Disable SSL protocol Filtering to prevent these annoying popups.
